Seeking Joy: Update

Today, I met with my doctor, and we reviewed my MRI, CT, ECHO, and lab work.

  • MRI- Stable, no change, no areas of progression.

  • ECHO- Perfect. It was all as expected, and there were no cardiac concerns.

  • CT Chest- No areas of progression. We will continue to watch the left posterior ninth rib; this area was radiated last year; changes seen could be post-radiation changes, but we will get another look at it in a few months.

Labs: I get routine lab work every two months. Generally, my labs are all WNL (within normal limits). Starting in February, my LFTs (liver function labs) were trending up. This is important; if my liver continued to show signs of distress, reflected in the high LFTs, I would need to give it a rest, which would mean taking a break from the Tagrisso, which would not be ideal for obvious reasons. Today, my LFTs returned to WELL Within Normal Limits!

I am thankful to all of you who have specifically prayed over these tests and results.

I am most grateful to God. Thank you, Jesus, for your continued healing hand, for carrying me when I can’t quite take the step, and for holding my hand and walking with me through this life.

Jesus, you are who you say you are.

 The Bible is filled with God’s truth. Those who belong to Him can have confidence in His protection.

Psalm 91: “The Psalm of Protection. We can seek refuge in God, and He will fight for us. Psalm 91 also encourages us, as God’s beloved, to seek his refuge and dwell with Him. He is our resting place, and although the journey is not promised to be free of pain, He promises never to leave us.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;

I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation

Psalm 91:4, 14-16
